Engineer by trade.
Photographer by passion.

Of course there is a lot of passion in engineering,
and a lot of trade in photography ...

After receiving a PhD in electrical engineering and technical computer science from the Aachen University of Technology, Chair of Communication Networks, professional life is now taking place in the telecom industry, working as a product manager and living with family in Cologne, Germany.

Interest in photography started as a gradual process in the 90s with Scottish landscapes, then more seriously with the birth of daughter Jennifer. Meanwhile sort of a passion. Travel and landscape photography is still a major part of the portfolio, but also people and portraits, and in particular cityscapes, streetscapes, the urban landscape, come into play.

Finding the residues of human endeavours in both natural and artificial structures, not necessarily getting spectacular or even "nice" images is the main motivation for taking pictures.

Images are used by advertising agencies and publishers world-wide and have been on display at various exhibitions:.
